8. The trap and trap arm for a lavatory may not be increased more than one size larger than the minimum trap size shown in Table 7-3. With a 1-1/2" trap arm, the lavatories are located too far from the waste stack of the water closet to be wet-vented as shown. (Note: the waste stack for the water closet does not have to be directly behind the water closet.) Reference Sections 1002.2 and 1003.3, UPC 1994.
9. The flow control device for a grease trap shall be installed in a location that is readily accessible and visible. Reference Section 1014.3, UPC 2003.
