Corrections required are noted below. All corrections must be made to the original drawings and new complete and revised sets resubmitted along with a written response to each of the items listed below to facilitate a shorter back-check time. The scope of this review covers Architectural, Structural, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical review. These disciplines were checked only to the extent allowed by the documents provided. All portions of this project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. ARCHITECTURAL COMMENTS Provide a complete Framing Plan for layout and support of ceiling joists. Specify grade, species, size and spacing of all ceiling joist framing members. Ref. IRC Section R106. STRUCTURAL COMMENTS Sheet A3 Clarify note for horizontal drag struts at re-entrant corner for lateral shear at roof to be transferred to the vertical shear walls as this load cannot be deferred since it does not apply to truss, but blocking or strap. Please recheck applicability if the new 1/A3 detail. Sheet A6 Complete framing details including the provisions for wall anchorage to roof diaphragm per IBC 1604.8.1 or IRC R606.8.2.1. See roof Details 4, 5, 8. Note is provided, but the element is not drawn. PLUMBING COMMENTS Clarify if work shop water heater remains in existing location. Address T and P drain and safe pan with drain as appropriate. MECHANICAL COMMENTS – Mechanical portion has been reviewed and approved; ELECTRICAL COMMENTS: Denote disconnect panel at workshop to be labeled as suitable for use as service equipment or clarify feeder to be 3 32 with # 8 bond. Provide switch or automatically controlled light at exterior door near bath at work shop. Provide cut sheets for all exterior light fixtures at both buildings for use in evaluation of outdoor lighting code compliance. Clarify voltage of water heater at workshop (120 or 240) and revise circuit 8 in panel as necessary along with revision to conductor sizes as appropriate. Show disconnect for this water heater. Ref. IRC Table E4001.5. Provide 20-amp branch circuit for workshop bathroom receptacle that supplies no other loads. Ref. IRC E3603.4.
