10/03/2006 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. The submitted drawings do not show how the sump pump has been changed. The use of the oil-smart switch for the elevator sump pump will require an approved appeal from the building official. Reference Section 301.2, UPC 2003. 2. The submitted drawings do not show how the sump pump has been changed. Clarify the missing portion of detail 1/P2.2 (relating to the sump pump discharge). Reference Section 103.2.3, UPC 2003. 3. A combination waste and vent system is not self-scouring and as such, it is not suitable for floor drains in mammal holding pens. Reference Section 910.1 and Section B1, UPC 2003. |

10/17/2006 | LINDA BUCZYNSKI | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | TRANSMIT ORIGINAL DRAWINGS WITH NEXT SUBMITTAL. PLEASE CALL AT 791-5550 X1106 OR EMAIL AT Linda.Buczynski@tucsonaz.gov IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. 1. Please note that the Structural Plans Examiner has been given notice to verify that the weight of the 112.5 KVA Transformer installed in Room 204 has been accounted for in Structural calculations. If this has been coordinated, disregard. DID NOT FIND IN CURRENT SUBMITTAL. 2. For all lighting poles greater than 20' in height, detail and calculations for pole and foundation shall be prepared and sealed by a Registered Structural Engineer. DID NOT FIND IN CURRENT SUBMITTAL. 3. Panel PV appears on the Single Line Diagram, but is has been removed from this project. Photovoltaic conductors on Single Line Diagram and Photovoltaic Riser Diagram do not correspond. 4. According to the technical support staff at Sunny Boy, (1.530.273.4895) the outputs from the 3 inverters must each be terminated in a single pole breaker, not a 3-pole breaker; this would appear to be consistent with NEC 690.64 (B) (1). I spoke with Antonio, 10/17/06. He referred me to the Installation Guide, most specifically pages 4-4 and 4-5. 5. At the PV Disconnects, specify the marking required by NEC 690.53. Provide the EXACT WORDING on the plans. This instruction for the contractor could be added to the Electrical Keynote on Sheet e5.1. 6. At the Panel DP, specify the marking required by NEC 690.54. Provide the EXACT WORDING on the plans. We have not enforced this very closely at locations where the inverter and DC disconnecting means are in sight of the panel where the interconnection takes place because of the requirements of 690.53, but it is necessary in this configuration. 7. On the SES Arrangement, Sheet e1.1, it appears that the wording "Panel D1 Disconnect" should read: "Panel DP Disconnect." 8. On Sheet e1.2, it appears that Keynote 3 should be placed by the proper piece of equipment on the PV Inverter Arrangement. This would also satisfy the requirements of Comment #27 from the previous submittal. 9. On Sheet e5.1, the inverter parameters have the wording "INPUT VOLTAGE" twice. 10. Regardless of the instruction in Keynote 7 to keep the Grounding Electrode Conductor unspliced throughout the installation, the diagram of the PV Service Disconnect on Sheet e5.1 appears to allow this. Please clarify. |
