When special inspection is required by Section 306, the architect or engineer of record shall prepare an inspection program which shall be submitted to the building official for approval prior to issuance of the building permit. The inspection program shall designate the portions of the work to have special inspection, the name or names of the individuals or firms who are to perform the special inspections and indicate the duties of the special inspectors. The special inspector shall be employed by the owner , the engineer or architect of record, or an agent of the owner, but not the contractor or any other person responsible for the work. When structural observation is required by Section 307, the inspection program shall name the individuals or firms who are to perform structural observation and describe the stages of construction at which structural observation is to occur. The inspection program shall include samples of inspection reports and provide time limits for submission of reports. 2) Justify 20% cost of construction being spent toward accessibility requirements per code section 3409.6 IBC 2003. Provide itemized breakdown of costs for items on the drawings. 3) Site plan needs to be dimensioned to clarify code analysis. Distance between buildings etc. 4) Clarify Occupancy - Storage or Museum? 5) Clarify fire separation between building H & I. 6) Design and structural calculations will need to be provided before a permit can be issued for all structural items that are being replaced. 7) Clarify location of restroom facilities for this location. 8) Lavatories 1/100 per table 2902.1 - SP-1 specifies 1/1000. |
