Speedway Boulevard New Hotel Building, Site Plan, 5th review TRANSMITTAL DATE: June 25, 2007 COMMENTS: please contact me for an appointment to address the following:. 1. Please note, a lot combination covenant is still needed for the hotel site - all three lots. Provide covenants and recordation receipt ( these forms are on our website at www.tucsonaz.gov/dsd under forms) Provide a note on the plan listing the lot combination covenant was recorded, with docket/page. 2. Clarify the number of rooms on site - I see differing numbers for parking calculations and for the number of rooms. Clarify if there is extra parking on this site then. 3. Please clarify if the parking garage facility is to be newly reconstructed and show where replacement columns will be installed. Beware that columns should be installed so as not to interfere with exiting/entering parking spaces. 4. The parking spaces at the east side of the parking garage, at 80 degree, do not have a sufficient PAAL width behind them. They require a 24' wide PAAL, or change the angle of the parking spaces to fit with the 18' wide PAAL provided. 5. Within the parking garage: please clarify why pedestrian access is not provided to the "clean room" when there are pedestrian openings right near the parking. 6. Please clarify whether elevators are in this parking garage. I see notes stating "lift" - but not specifically for an elevator. 7. Be advised, building codes may require further handicapped parking to be provided in the parking garage, per Chapter 1106 of the IBC. Please contact a structural reviewer at DSD for further advisement. 8. Depending upon the responses provided, further review comments may be forthcoming.
