1) 1997 Uniform Administrative Code - section 302.5 Inspection and Observation Program. When special inspection is required by Section 306, the architect or engineer of record shall prepare an inspection program which shall be submitted to the building official for approval prior to issuance of the building permit. The inspection program shall designate the portions of the work to have special inspection, the name or names of the individuals or firms who are to perform the special inspections and indicate the duties of the special inspectors.

The special inspector shall be employed by the owner , the engineer or architect of record, or an agent of the owner, but not the contractor or any other person responsible for the work.

When structural observation is required by Section 307, the inspection program shall name the individuals or firms who are to perform structural observation and describe the stages of construction at which structural observation is to occur.

The inspection program shall include samples of inspection reports and provide time limits for submission of reports.


2) Justify 20% cost of construction being spent toward accessibility requirements per code section 3409.6 IBC 2003. Provide itemized breakdown of costs for items on the drawings.
3) Drinking fountain spout heights and water flow ANSI 602.4 and 602.6. or provide water cooler and show on plans.
4) It appears two permits are required. Existing was one space and demising wall creates two spaces. Official address slip required for each space. Or clarify use of large open space.
5) Clarify separated or non-separated use per 302.3.1 and 302.3.2
6) Change of occupancy address section 3406.
7) Include basement area in other permit set address section 1104.4.
8) Provide site plan showing accessible path from parking to bldg entrance per section 1105.
9) Epoxy anchors require special inspections. Special inspection form shall be submitted before permit will be released.

1. Provide a layout of all pieces of equipment in the photovoltaic system on a scaled drawing.
2. Place all photovoltaic information on same sized sheet as that of the rest of the project.
3. It is not clear where the actual DC disconnect is to be placed. If integral with the inverter, the location of this disconnect would violate the requirements of NEC 690.14 (C) (1). However, the 2005 Code allows this configuration in the case where the Exception to 690.14 (B) (1) is evoked. Please specify a metallic raceway for this application.
4. Specify the placards and provide the exact wording for the permanent plaque/directory required by NEC 690.56 (B) and 230.2 (E).
