PLEASE CALL AT 791-5550 X1106 OR EMAIL AT Linda.Buczynski@tucsonaz.gov IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. 1. According to the area map on Page 15 of the Tucson Lighting Code, http://www.tucsonaz.gov/dsd/Codes___Ordinances/Tucson_Lighting_Code.pdf., this facility is clearly in Area E3, not E1b. Therefore, there are more mean lumens allowed in the calculations. This may be helpful, considering the comments below. 2. In the Tucson Lighting Code, swimming pool lighting is not considered to be an athletic field, court, or track. Section 7.1.2 does not exempt Fixtures SA from the lumen count. 3. Lighting Fixture Schedule indicates Flagpole lighting, Z01, and underwater Pool Light, 003. Show on Site Plan with the rest of the exterior lighting. Both fixture categories shall be considered in the lumen count required by the Tucson Lighting Code above. Note that underwater luminaires shall comply with the applicable requirements of NEC Article 680. 4. Indoor Pool Lights D28 and D29 are specified on the lighting fixture schedule Sheet E6.1. However, there is no indoor pool this project. Please clarify. 5. Patio lighting fixture CB, to be Owner-supplied, shall be listed for wet or damp location as applicable, and shall have a source efficiency of least 45 lumens per watt (2003 IECC). Also note that unless these are full cutoff fixtures installed under an overhang or roof eave, their mean lumen count shall be added to the schedule required in the Tucson Lighting Code referenced in the comment above. 6. Note that wherever fixture Z09 is mounted exterior, its mean lumens shall count towards the total in schedule required in the Tucson Lighting Code referenced in the comment above. 7. Please submit catalogue cut sheets for all exterior lighting. 8. Please provide IECC calculations for the New Storage and New Poolhouse Buildings. 9. Address MOCP on the plans for the CU units, typical. For example, CU-1 is MOCP 15A, and is powered by a feeder protected by a 20A CB. Note 6 on Sheet provides a disconnect but not OCPDs. 10. Put Panel Schedules L2A and L3A on the plans. They power loads on the second level Sheet E1.2, and third level Sheet E1.3, Elevator Sheet E4.2 and 4.2a, AC-14 in Guest Laundry and Maid Storage and Maintenance and Storage Sheet E4.3, and Maid Storage and Maintenance Sheet and Storage Sheet E4.3A, and attic. 11. Verify addition of Panels L2A and L3A to MSB1 Load Analysis. 12. Roof soffit lighting is to go on L1B-21, L1B-23, and L1B-27. (67) 96-Watt fixtures (Z09) consume 6432 Watts. These circuits are counted at a total of only 4758W. Please clarify. 13. Install switch-controlled lighting outlets in bedrooms and living rooms. Reference NEC 210.70 (A) (1). 14. According to NEC.210.11 (C) (3), the bathroom receptacle outlet(s) shall be on a 20-ampere branch circuit with no other outlets. Such is not the case according to the panel schedules. 15. Sheet E4.2 Kitchen area, please provide that the countertop receptacles are GFCI protected. Reference NEC 210.8 (B) (3). 16. Ckt LIF-10 Sheet E4.2 Back of House appears intent is to read "LIF-11." LIF-10 is a 3-phase load. 17. Ground fault and short circuit protection for dryers Sheet E4.2, per NEC 430 Part IV, appears to be oversized. Please change the 30A CB at the panel to 25A. 18. Sheet E4.2 Ckt LIL-7 Back of House, please fill in electrical load on panel schedule. It is listed as a spare. 19. Sheet E4.2 Elevator B Keynote 3, overcurrent protecting the car lighting and receptacle branch circuit shall be located in the elevator machine room. Reference NEC 620.22 (A). Disconnecting means for car equipment shall have a fuse/breaker per 620.53. 20. Sheet E4.2 Elevator B, please put the machine room lighting and receptacle loads on a single, dedicated branch circuit. Reference NEC 620.23 (A). 21. Provide GFCI protection for pit and Elevator Equipment room per NEC 620.85. 22. Provide spa emergency shutoff per the requirements of NEC 680.41. 23. Provide ground fault circuit interrupter for fountain power (Ckt LIB-33) per the requirements of 680.56 (A). It is not clear the difference between fountain power on L1B-33 and L1B-38. 24. AC-5 on Ckt L1D-37,39,41, has a 25A CB. MCA 44.7, and MOCP 50A per Unit Schedule Sheet M5.1. 25. Ckt L1K-8 powers Oatmeal Cooker Sheet E4.4. Is a spare on the panel schedule. 26. Sheet E4.4a, Ckt L1A-37, appears to be undercounted on the panel schedule. Please recheck this circuit, and any others as needed, especially this sheet. 27. Provide depth of foundation, psi of concrete, rebar characteristics, and all other aspects necessary for pole and foundation detail. Reference to Structural Engineer on Sheet E5.4 is not sufficient, as there is no inclusion of the poles or their foundations in the Structural plans or calculations. For any pole which exceeds 20' in height, structural calculations shall be submitted for both the pole and foundation, and sealed by a Structural Engineer registered in the State of Arizona. 28. Verify that Recirculation Pump 1, as specified on Sheet P3.4 for 230V, may be powered at 208V. 29. WH-2 as specified on Sheet P3.4, is in the Pool House Sheet P4.2. Could not find on Electrical Plans or Panel Schedules. 30. Add a paragraph to Specifications 16060 addressing the bonding and grounding of the pool, fountain, and spa. Suggest a paragraph(s) similar to Subsection 3.03. Reference NEC 680. 31. Bond together the grounding electrode systems of both MSB1 and MSB2. 32. Please provide fault calculations for Panels L1A, L1B, L1C, L1F, DP1A and DP1B. Results of Plans Examiner are slightly higher than those indicated on the panel schedules. |
