03/27/2006 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied 1. The second cleanout located downstream of the grease trap (on the riser diagram) is installed in violation of Section 707.6, UPC 2003.
2. The detail showing the installation of the grease trap and flow control is incorrect. Cleanouts for interceptors must be located outside of the interceptor (Section 707.8); the flow control must be readily accessible and visible (Section 1014.3); and the manufacturer's installation instructions call for the flow control device to be mounted as close as possible to the underside of the lowest fixture.
3. Provide complete details showing the construction of the mounting platform for the water heater and structural calculations. Show how the platform is to be supported from the building structure. Reference Section 103.2.3, UPC 2003.

2. Load on Ckts A-13,15 and A-23,25 take a 2-pole disconnect. These circuits are single-pole on the panel schedule. Please clarify. Clarify which refiegerators and freezers are being used on these circuits. Sheet A-05 lists several.
3. New Water Heater is 3KW per Sheet P-01. Is 5.6KW on electrical panel schedule. Please coordinate with Plumbing and clarify.
4. New Water Heater is 14.4A per Sheet P-01. If such is the case, it would appear that the overcurrent protection is oversized according to the panel schedule. Reference NEC 422.11 (E) (3). Please coordinate with Plumbing and clarify.
5. Panel A feeder from is powered from 800A existing panel on the line diagram. Existing panel schedule does not have provisions for providing this power. Please clarify.
6. Provide feeder size from 800A panel to new disconnect.
7. Show location on plans of new 200A disconnect.
8. Address overcurrent protection for feeder from 800A panel to new discinnect.
