The second review for the above project has been completed. The following items reflect original comments, which remain unaddressed and require a written response indicating any action to be taken. In order to facilitate a shorter back-check time, all corrections and revisions shall be made on the original plans and two new COMPLETE sets of prints shall be returned along with all redline prints. To avoid delays, ensure that all corrections have been made, are complete, and have been coordinated on all applicable detail and note sheets as well as highlighting all changes with appropriate revision number, revision date, and “cloud bubbles”. Pen or pencil corrections on final prints will not be acceptable. Please return comment drawings with your re-submittal. GENERAL COMMENTS:
This project has been reviewed for conformance with the 2003 IRC, 1997 UAC, 2003 IMC, 2003 IECC, 2002 NEC codes with local modifications, and the 2003 UPC. Any revisions to this plan will require an additional review and approval by Willdan.

ARCHITECTURAL COMMENTS:

Sheet 2 and 5
Additional Comment: The code sections referenced are from the previous code cycle. Please update to reflect the current code cycle that is the 2003 IRC and 2003 UPC. Please see relined notes. Reference the City of Tucson adopted codes.

Sheet 5
Additional Comment: Annotate on the plans the exterior wall stud spacing. Trusses must be within ¾” of the stud for exterior bearing walls. The trusses are noted to be 24” on center. Reference Section R603. 1.2 IRC.

Additional Comment: Annotate on the plans the ASTM A number. Only the grade was noted on the plans. Reference Sections R603.2.1 and R106.1.1 IRC.

Additional Comment: In the non-vented roof detail, 1.2” osb is noted to be used, but in section “A-A” 5/8” is noted to be used. Please clarify. Reference Section 106.1.1 IRC.

Additional Comment: Annotate on the plans that a ½” diameter bolt is to be used to anchor the metal track to the foundation. It is noted on the plans to use ¼: drive pins. Reference Table R603.3.1 and Figure R603.1(1).

Additional Comment: Please provide data to justify the use of #10 TEK screws for the Simpson holdown S-HTT. Reference Section R301.1 IRC.
