Fundamentally, the service was shown separate from the building, which may be doubtful. But the backcheck was done using the 6' distance between the utility transformer and the building service as plotted on the scaled drawing. This yeilded a result of 72729A available at the service, considering 4 parallel 900 MCM aluminum, which clearly does little to attenuate fault current. Then, 44' were taken to the new panel using non-metallic conduit with the resultant of 27991A of AFC. Please revisit the fault calculations, and account for true distances, and size and cross-sectional area of conductors. Also please double-check the exact location of the transformer and building service. |
