(If you check the footnote on the ASPE Data Book table you are using, you will see that at 8 psi/100 feet, the velocity of the 1-1/2" pipe is greater than 8 fps and the velocity of the 2" and 2-1/2" pipes are greater than 10 fps.) Reference Section A 6.1, UPC 2003; IAPMO IS 3-2000, Section 610.0. Note that the Sloan Royal flush valve flows at approximately 25 gallons per minute during a flush cycle.
