| 01/24/2007 | JASON GREEN | ENGINEERING | REVIEW | Approved | DATE: January 24, 2007 SUBJECT: 1202 S Camino Del Sierra- Culvert Installation TO: Jeff Dana LOCATION: T14S R13E Sec22, Ward 1 REVIEWERS: Jason Green, CFM ACTIVITY: T06BU02479 (Grading Plan) and T06OT02675 (Floodplain Use Permit) SUMMARY: Engineering Division of Development Services Department has received and reviewed the revised grading plan, Floodplain Use Permit and revised Drainage Statement, prepared by Stantec Consulting Inc., dated December 12, 2006, for the above referenced property. Engineering Division recommends approval of the grading plan and Floodplain Use Permit at this time. The grading plan and FUP will be conditioned such that it will be the responsibility of the property owner, current and future, to maintain the proposed culverts for the life of the footbridge. All vegetation must be periodically removed and any sedimentation of the culverts must be removed and disposed of in a manner that does not impact adjacent property owners. If you have any questions I can be reached at 791-5550, extension 1189. Jason Green, CFM Senior Engineer Associate Engineering Division Development Services |
| 01/26/2007 | ANDREW CONNOR | LANDSCAPE | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Applicants proposing a project with encroachment into the one hundred (100) year floodplain are required to submit the following information per DS 2-13.2.2.B 2. A map identifying the type, location and extent of all riparian vegetation and plant associations within the regulatory area, including individual cacti and trees with a caliper of four (4) inches or greater, and all saguaros, regardless of size. 3. A Plant Inventory and aerial photographs of individual woody plants and cacti rooted within the encroachment area. Both living and dead plants and cacti should be inventoried. The Plant Inventory List shall include an identification number, genus and species, and size of all plants having basal trunk diameters greater than 2 inches. All plants inventoried are to be shown on an aerial photograph at a minimum scale of 1" = 60'. 4. A Mitigation Plan identified in TCC Sec. 29-16.C is required. The mitigation plan must demonstrate that the loss of existing vegetation and wildlife habitat as a result of development in the watercorse area is minimized, and that lost vegetation and wildlife habitat are restored or recreated through the specific wash treatment and the preservation/revegetation plan. If a vegetated area is altered, the site must be revegetated to the same or greater density, diversity, and volume of vegetation as existed prior to the alteration. The Plan shall contain a Landscape Plan, a Plant Materials List, an Irrigation Plan, and a 3-year Maintenance Schedule 5. Delineation of the proposed area to be disturbed within the Riparian Habitat. Include grading limits on aerial photograph. 6. Ground level photographs from points identified on submitted plans that document the Preserved Riparian Habitat and any areas within the Preserved Riparian Habitat to be disturbed. 7. A description of the impact of encroachment on riparian habitat and wildlife corridors within the property and adjacent sites. 8. Add note to plant inventory: Fencing shall be required during construction per DS 2-06.8.0 Fig.1 for all undisturbed natural desert areas of Protected Native Plants and for individual Protected Native Plants to be preserved-in-place. The area to be fenced shall be beyond the "drip-line" of the vegetation by one-half (½) the distance of the "drip-line" radius. For Saguaros and cacti, the area to be fenced shall be equal to the distance of one-half (½) the height of the plant per DS 2-15.6.0 9. Add note: NPPO pre permit inspection is required prior to grading inspection can be scheduled by calling IVR system and entering inspection code 09015 or calling Landscape Field Representative directly @ 791-5550 EXT 1140. |
