Development Services Department Engineering Division has reviewed the received items and recommends conditional approval of the Grading Plan. GRADING PERMIT CONDITIONS: 1) Provide a copy of the updated / Final Drainage Report that specifies the 46-ft of extension for the reno mattress erosion / bank protection. 2) The following items will be conditions applied to the grading permit: a) Call for SWPPP inspection and Pre-construction meetings. For DSD Engineering Inspections, call IVR (740-6970), or schedule with a Customer Service Representative at the Development Services Department, or contact DSD Engineering at 791-5550 extension 2101, or schedule inspections online at: HTTP://WWW.CI.TUCSON.AZ.US/DSD/ONLINE_SERVICES/ONLINE_PERMITS/ONLINE_PERMITS.HTML b) Call for special DSD inspection for erosion hazard setback erosion protection placement prior to backfilling. c) Recommendations for the addressing the closure of the open, underground water encachements and wells shall be followed according to Geotechnical Report for this project: 63055036 and any addenda including later dated January 13, 2006. d) Grading for dumpster enclosure shall be elevated to direct stormwater to basin C and prevent drainage entering or draining through the dumpster enclosure. e) A copy of the ADEQ AZPDES General Permit must be a part of the SWPPP at the site. f) A copy of the Grading Plan, Grading Permit, and any Geotechnical Reports shall be kept at the site at all times, until final grading approval. g) There shall be no disturbance outside of the disturbance/grading limits. h) Truncated domes are required for access ramps per ADAAG. This is an update to COT standard detail 207. i) Any revision to the Grading Plan may require a re-submittal of a revised grading plan for review. Contact DSD Engineering at 791-5550 to discuss changes in grading design. j) If grading construction is expected to last longer than the expiration date of the grading permit, contact DSD to renew/extend the Grading Permit. If Final Grading Inspection has not been completed before the Grading Permit expires, and the permit has not been renewed, additional fees and reviews may be required. k) Contact Permits and Codes (791-5100) for any questions regarding any right-of-way permit requirements. l) The operator shall report to ADEQ any noncompliance (including spills) which may endanger human health or the environment. The operator shall orally notify the office listed below within 24 hours: Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, 1110 W. Washington, 5th floor (5515B-1), Phoenix, AZ 85007, Office: 602-771-4466; Fax 602-771-4505 m) As-builts and letters of completion for erosion protection, basins, and overall project are required. The permitee shall notify the DSD when the grading operation is ready for final grading inspection. Final grading approval shall not be given until all work, including installation of all drainage facilities and their permanent protective devices, and all erosion control measures have been completed in accordance with the approved grading plan and grading permit, and any required reports have been submitted. n) Submit a sealed document from the Geotechnical Engineer regarding backfill compaction after the reno mattress installation. 3) Submit one copy of the Final Drainage Report, with 4 copies of the grading plan, 4 copies of the SWPPP with the General Permit, and one copy of the approved Development Plan, so that Engineering can stamp off the plans. The Zoning Review Section has reviewed the building plans but cannot approve them until the site plan has been approved by all DSD reviewing agencies.
