Ortiz, PE Engineering Division SUBJECT: Rillito Crossing Market Place Grading Plan T06BU00245 (First Review) T13S, R13E, Section 24 RESUBMITTAL REQUIRED: Grading Plan, Drainage Report and SWPPP The Grading Plan (GP) and Drainage Report (DR) cannot be approved as submitted. Please address the following review comments prior to the next submittal. Grading Plan: 1. Please include a response letter to the comments along with the corrected copies of the GP. 2. The Grading Plan is a construction document and needs to function independent of the Tentative Plat/Development Plan. The contractor in the field will not be required to have the tentative plat/development plan in the field therefore the grading plan must contain all required design information for the contractor to construct from. 3. Provide all related detail sheets to the grading plan with the next submittal. 4. Add note: "Depress all landscaped areas a maximum of 6" for water harvesting" 5. Add the basin(s) maintenance responsibility note per S.M.D.D.F.M. 2.3.1.6 C 1 and 2 to the SP. See attached sheet. 6. Provide a Location Map (3" = 1 mile) 7. Use Engineering Scale only. 8. Show all symbols in the legend. 9. Show Gradeable area, and Limits of Grading 10. Show cross section with transverse and longitudinal slopes. 11. 100% of the 10-year flow must be conveyed under the sidewalks. If the location(s) of the roof scuppers have not yet been decided, add a general note indicating sidewalk scuppers (per COT/SD) will be used when the roof scuppers locations have been designed. 12. Call out surface paving material. 13. Curb and Gutter elevation include drainage flow with percent slope. 14. Show details of all surface materials. 15. A permit or a private improvement agreement will be necessary for any work performed within the Right-of-way. Contact Permits and Codes at (520) 791-5100 for permit information. 16. Flow arrows, grades, and flow rates within and adjacent to site to show drainage scheme. 17. Detention/Retention: · Match Drainage report. · Inlet/Outlet structural details (Weir design). · Cross-sections and dimension. · Dimension basin and provide spot elevations. · Water surface elevations. 18. Address the maintenance responsibility for all drainage facilities (including basins) in the Drainage Report and provide a maintenance checklist. 19. As per Federal ADA requirements, all wheel chair ramps shall have the Truncated Domes instead of the standard grooves, which are shown on City of Tucson Standard Detail 207. Aside from the Truncated Domes, the wheel chair ramps shall be constructed in accordance with the Standard Detail 207. 20. All new sidewalk within city right of way local roads shall be 5 feet wide per City of Tucson Development Standards 3-01-3.3 Pedestrian Circulation Paths. All on-site sidewalks shall be 4 feet wide. Drainage report: 1. Additional information is needed with the grading plan, therefore modification to the drainage report may be required due to these modifications.
