07/05/2005 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Include the following items in the water pressure calculations: a. Pressure drop from the reduced pressure backflow preventer. b. Any static lift from the meter to the highest point of water discharge. 2. Use the average minimum daily service pressure (i.e. 61-psi) as the basis for the water pressure calculations. Reference Section A3.3, UPC 1994. 3. Clarify if a reduced pressure backflow preventer will be required in details #1 and #3. City of Tucson Ordinance 1802 requires a reduced pressure backflow preventer to be located immediately after the water meter. 4. Verify the size of the RPBP valves located after the meters comply to Section 610.2, UPC 1994. 5. Provide the size of the existing meters. 6. The calculations indicate a 3" water meter will be used for Systems #1 and #3 but the drawings show two, 2"-meters instead. Coordinate the calculations with the drawings, and seal the calculations. |
