RESUBMITTAL REQUIRED: PIA and Drainage Report.
The Engineering - Permits and Codes Section has reviewed the PIA Plan and Drainage Report and does not recommend approval of the PIA Plan at this time. The Drainage Report is reviewed for PIA purposes. The following review comments need to be addressed in the next submittal.

The attached comments are based on the information provided and is not meant as an all inclusive list of items that must be addressed but a check for general conformance to City Standards. The Engineer of Record (The Engineer preparing and certifying the plans, in this case MMLA, Inc.) is responsible for the plans/design meeting all applicable Standards, Codes, Ordinances, and for any issues errors and/or omissions.


1. Check and correct grades, elevations and cross section call out references on plan and profiles views, there appears to be numerous inconsistencies and errors, see redlines.

2. Label limits of warp and superelevated sections in profile views.

3. A minimum 2% roadway cross slope must be provided (DS 3-01.4.5) for all roadways within the subdivision.

4. Provide a pavement section detail.

5. Provide key note call outs for all proposed survey monuments.

6. Sheet 1: Indicate final plat recordation information (Book and Page) on cover sheet.

7. Sheet 1: Remove extra words Lane and Places on "Project Overview", see redlines.

8. Sheet 1: Add plan number (I-2005-057) in title block.

9. Sheet 1: Remove signature line for the "City of Tucson Engineer"

10. Sheet 1: Add general note indicating Asphaltic Concrete requirements.

11. Sheet 1: Remove the word "Asphaltic" from general note 4.

12. Sheet 5: A sidewalk scupper will need to be provides between lots 244 and 245 per DS 3-01.2.8.

13. Provide a complete detail for each type of proposed curb access ramp on the plan set. Additionally, call out Truncated Domes per ADOT Standard Detail C-05.30 sheet 7 of 7 as the detectable warning device.

09/30/2005 DALE KELCH DOT TRAFFIC REVIEW Denied Traffic Engineering REJECTS this PIA submittal:

1. Add a general note to read “All non-signalized intersection street names must have E-W block number addresses for E-W roadways and N-S block number addresses for N-S roadways.”

2. Add the posted speed to Paving note 1.

3. While there is a listing of signs to be installed and locations of the signs on the interior pages, it is not labeled as to which signs are which on the interior sheets.

4. Add a no parking sign detail (attached to redlines).

5. Add "begin" and "end" placards as appropriate to no parking signs.

6. Rotate symbols where no parking areas end 180 degrees (facing oncoming traffic).
