IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS.

1. Regarding Installation Note 4, BP sells an extension cable, composed of USE-2, to allow connection of module cables to the row boxes. Cable and terminations have been assembled in factories under UL approval. Please specify this method of connection.
2. Regarding Installation Note 10, there appears to be a confusion of equipment Grounding Conductors with the Grounding Electrode Conductor. The Grounding Electrode Conductor needs to be specified on the plans. See the Commentary following NEC 690.47, in the Handbook. Please size the DC system Grounding Electrode Conductor. Suggest a review NEC 250.64 (C) for continuity requirements. Also review NEC 250.166 before the specification of the minimum size.
3. The Wire Size Calculations use an ampacity for #12 as read from the 90°C column. Normally we read from the 75ºC column, unless we are absolutely certain that all terminations are rated for 90ºC. Reference NEC 110.14 (C).
4. Same as above for the temperature correction factors applied.
5. According to NEC 690.16, a disconnecting means shall be provided to disconnect a fuse from all sources of supply if the fuse is energized from both directions and is accessible to other than qualified persons. This appears to effect the fuse in the PV Combiner Box.
6. Installation Note 5 would apply if the Combiner Box referenced in Comment #5 above incorporated a disconnect. The Code reference is 690.53, not 690.52.
