12/21/2005 | LINDA BUCZYNSKI | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | T05CM05910 12/2105 1. 6000KW WH, on 208V as indicated on panel schedule, would draw 28.8. The 20A CB would not allow it to start. 2. Service load calculations have not been performed in a Code-compliant manner. Reference Article 220 of the National Electrical Code. 3. The note on series rating, Electrical One Line Diagram, does not specify which are the line side and which are the load side devices. With the fuse in the disconnect, the panel Main Breaker, and panel branch circuit breakers, theoretically all three could be series listed but I am not aware of any manufacturer that does this. So the fuse could be listed with the main CB, and the main CB could be listed with the branch CB. I would suggest fully rating the fuse, then series rating the main CB with its load side devices. Please clarify. 4. Update the Code references in the series rating note on the Electrical One Line Diagram. For example, it is not clear how NEC 240.6 (C) is intended to apply to series-rated overcurrent protective devices. And it would appear that your references should include NEC 240.86. Please review these Code sections and clarify. |
