Mechanical Comments

2. Provide the manufacturer's equipment data (e.g. model, size, and weight) along with mechanical and electrical operating information for the specified heat pump. Coordinate with the electrical design. Reference Section R106.1.1, IRC 2003.
3. Show that the specified heat pump is capable of maintaining a minimum room temperature of 68 degrees Fahrenheit per Section 303.8, IRC 2003.
4. Provide a note on the drawing that the mechanical installation shall comply with Chapters 12-24 of the 2003 IRC

Plumbing Comments

1. The applicable code for plumbing in the City of Tucson is the Uniform Plumbing Code (1994 edition) with State of Arizona amendments. Revise the plumbing design as required to conform to the correct code.
2. Show the size and location of the water meter on the site plan. Reference Section 103.2.3, UPC 1994.
3. Show the inverts and slope of the building sewer on the drawing. The slope of the building sewer shall be at least ΒΌ" per foot unless it is shown to be impractical due to the depth of the public sewer or structural conditions. Reference Sections 103.2.3 and 718.1, UPC 1994.
4. Provide fixture descriptions for all plumbing fixtures. Reference Section 103.2.3, UPC 1994.
5. Provide equipment data for the water heater. Reference Section 103.2.3, UPC 1994.
6. Provide a detail of the water heater installation, including the excess pressure relief and valves. Reference Section 103.2.3, UPC 1994.
7. Provide pressure-balance or thermostatic mixing valves for the shower and tub/shower combination. Adjust the valves per the manufacturer's instructions to supply water at a maximum temperature of 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Reference Section 410.7, UPC 1994.
