This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, highlighting any changes, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. General Requirements 1. All corrections and revisions shall be made on the original tracings and two new sets of prints or (1) sepia and (1) blue line shall be returned. 2. Pen and Pencil corrections on final prints will not be acceptable. To avoid delays ensure that corrections have been made, are complete and have been coordinated on all-applicable details and notes. Site Plan 1. Indicate the location of gas, water, electric and sewer or septic line on the property, and where they enter the building. Provide the location of your water meter and septic system if it exists. Foundation Plan 1. Note on the drawings the allowable soil bearing pressure used in the design of the footings, or state that the assumed value of 1500 PSF is being used per table R401.4.1. 2. 2/A4 - Dimension 6" above grade and 12" below grade. 3. Foundation schedule - BFG is used in last column. What does it stand for? Should BFF at bottom be BFG? If so, how does footing schedule agree with 2/A4 in respect to distance below finished grade. 4. Holdown 2 has the wrong mark. Circle vs. Hexagon. Clarify. 5. 5/A4 - Dimension 6" from post to grade. Floor Plan 1. Label new space in existing carport. What is service area for? Tank? Clarify use of room. Structural Plan 1. Holdowns are required at panels less than 4' (see sides of garage door). Provide and show on foundation plan. 2. Holdown schedule on page A6 has different mark than the same schedule on foundation plan. Circle vs. Triangle. Clarify. 3. Clarify what the ledger is used for as noted in 'Lintel and Ledger schedule'. 4. Specify construction of brick column around posts. 5. Locate conditions A/A8 and B/A8 on roof framing plan. 6. B/A8 - Specify how anchor bolt will be set into red brick. 7. Detail 3/A8 is shown at existing house end of center 6x10 beam. Is there a post at this location? Clarify and provide post to mudsill connection if necessary. 8. Specify connection of 3x8 to outer 6x10 beams. 9. Specify framing between and around existing carport posts for enclosure. 10. Note post below 4x8-ridge beam at carport extension. 11. Specify 2x6 connection to 4x8-ridge beam. 12. Specify truss to beam and truss to wall connection at carport enclosure extension (A/A8?). 13.
