01/11/2006 | LINDA BUCZYNSKI | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | TRANSMIT ORIGINAL DRAWINGS WITH NEXT SUBMITTAL. PLEASE CALL AT 791-5550 X1106 OR EMAIL AT Linda.Buczynski@tucsonaz.gov IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. 1. Please provide a maintenance disconnecting means within sight of the whirlpool bather referenced on Keynote 3 of Sheet E-1.4. Reference NEC Article 680.12. 2. I get a total of 240A for Panels A1, considering the load for Panel A1 as 8760 VA on Phase B, and the Air Handler at 1776 VA per phase. This corrects the final service loading to 1515.3 A, which gives the Owner more accurate information as to spare capacity on this 1600 A service. 3. On the single line diagram, 200/3 does not make sense for a new 300A CBs. 4. Address fault calculations for panel A1 in Cottage 7. |

12/27/2005 | ROBERT SHERRY | MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Clarify the discrepancy between the manufacturer's published data and the recommendations of the manufacturer's representative. The manufacturer's published data shows 3" vent and combustion air pipes and a 3" concentric termination required for 2001-3000 feet of elevation for the unit sizes specified (100-20). Reference Section 304.1, IMC 2000. 2. Show how the Type I hood is attached to the building structure and provide structural calculations. Reference Section 507.6, IMC 2000. (Note: include the possible weight of personnel working on or in the hood.) 3. The clearances for the Type I hood (i.e. from cabinets and other combustibles) shall conform to section 507.9, IMC 2000. Note that the wood-framed wall adjacent to the hood is not considered noncombustible by the mechanical code. 4. Revise the grease duct construction noted in the kitchen hood exhaust specification on sheet M-4.1 to conform to the requirements of Section 506.3, IMC 2000. 5. Coordinate the exhaust airflow for EF-3 with the reference material for the Type I hood. Reference Section 106.3.1, IMC 2000. 6. Clarify the amount of outside air supplied by MUA-1; the outside air calculation indicates 1469 CFM but the unit is scheduled for only 1000 CFM. Reference Section 106.3.1, IMC 2000. 7. Interlock the make up air supply with the operation of EF-3. Reference Section 508.1, IMC 2000. 8. The font on Sheet M-4.2 is too small for successful reproduction on microfilm. The minimum font size is 1/8". Reference Section 106.3.1, IMC 2000. |
