This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, highlighting any changes, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. General Requirements 1. All corrections and revisions shall be made on the original tracings and two new sets of prints or (1) sepia and (1) blue line shall be returned. 2. Pen or pencil corrections on final prints will not be acceptable. To avoid delays ensure that corrections have been made, are complete and have been coordinated on all-applicable details and notes. Structural Plan 1. Note on the drawings the allowable soil bearing pressure used in the design of the footings, or state that the assumed value of 1500 PSF is being used per table R401.4.1. 2. 1/D1 - note minimum depth below grade (12"). 3. Detail 1/D1 should be called out adjacent den door rather than 2/D1. 4. Footing F5 on foundation plan does not match detail 5/D1. 5. There are two L3 lintels on the lintel schedule. Specify lintel L4. 6. Detail on page D2 note 5/8" plywood while roof plan notes 1/2" plywood. Clarify. 7. Minimum slope for shingles is 2:12 per R905.2.2. Provide roofing appropriate with slope. Mechanical Plan 1. Gas appliances shall comply with ARIZONA STATE PLUMBING CODE combustion air requirements or Chapter 17, 2003 IRC. Detail how you will comply. Water heater vents should be directly communicating with the exterior. If you have any questions, please contact your assigned plans examiner Neil Saunders at 791-5550, extension 1113.
