FLOODPLAIN USE PERMIT IS DENIED

RESUBMITTAL REQUIRED: SITE PLAN, FLOODPLAIN USE PERMIT APPLICATION

1.Any structure which is substantially improved at a cost equal to or exceeding 50% of the full cash value of the structure as shown on the latest assessment rolls of the county assessor must conform to Chapter 26, Floodplain and Erosion Hazard Management, City of Tucson Code. The value of the structure based on the 2005 Pima County Assessor's Record is $7,450. The submitted contractor's estimate values the work at 28,235.00. The increase in flood damage potential is 379%. The proposed addition is considered a "substantial improvement," and must meet the floodplain requirements found in Chapter 26.

2.The addition must be elevated 1 foot above the water surface elevation. The water surface elevation for this parcel is 2348.80 (NGVD 1929). The required finish floor elevation is 2349.80 (NGVD).

3.Show the finish floor elevation for the existing addition.

4. Include the datum on the site plan and the required finish floor elevation for the new addition.

5.Please note an Elevation Certificate is required for the addition and must be returned to Development Services prior to final inspection, occupancy of structure, or issuance of Certificate of Occupancy.
