Plan Review for the above referenced structure has been completed. This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, highlighting any changes, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken.

General Requirements

1. All corrections and revisions shall be made on the original tracings and two new sets of prints or (1) sepia and (1) blue line shall be returned.
2. Pencil corrections on final prints will not be acceptable. To avoid delays ensure that corrections have been made, are complete and have been coordinated on all-applicable details and notes.

Floor Plan

1. Window 004 (in dining room) adjacent living room dbl French doors is required to be tempered glass per R308.4 (#6).
2. Provide ½" gypsum board on all walls common to the garage and house in compliance with R309.2.
3. MEC values - 2100 HDD governs minimum values. Also table N1102.1 is only valid when glazing is 15% or less than total wall. Show calculation.

Foundation Plan

1. Specified holdowns for structural design should be noted on foundation plan.

Structural Plan

1. Calc sheet 5 does not address furthest span of LPI 18 32W of >23'. Certain joists are over-spanned. Justify.
2. Justify dbl. 2x8 header over entry to master bedroom.
3. Optional front gate - Engineering is required for walls over 6'.

Plumbing Plan

1. The City of Tucson has adopted the 1994 Uniform Plumbing Code with state amendments (ARIZONA STATE PLUMBING CODE). All plans must reference this code.
2. Note and specify all piping materials. Gas pipe.
3. Provide 1-1/4" gas line to furnace 'T' and 1" to dryer 'T'.
4. Water line: Provide the total fixture unit demand and maximum developed length. Table 6.3 and 6.4, 1994 UPC. Revise fixture unit summary. My count is 39.
5. Note on plan compliance with the water conservation requirements. Water closets, 1.6 gallons per flush, sinks and showerheads, 3 gallons per minute.

Mechanical and Electrical Plans

1. Note on plans: Mechanical shall comply with 2003 IRC chapters 13 - 24.
2. Provide 220 electric for dryer and furnace if gas is excluded.
