| 10/13/2005 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Provide the minimum plumbing facilities required by Table 2902.1, IBC 2003, for storage occupancy. 2. Coordinate the plumbing drawings with the site drawing with regard to showing the size and route of the building sewer and the building water supply, along with the location and size of both the water meter and the reduced pressure backflow preventer assembly. Reference Section 103.2.3, UPC 1994. 3. Provide the rim elevation of the next upstream and the next downstream sanitary manholes. Determine the need for a backwater valve per Section 710.1, UPC 1994. 4. The water calculations show a developed pipe length of 200 feet but drawing P-1.0 shows a developed pipe length of approximately 264 feet from the SOV to the furthest outlet. In addition, Keynote 19 (sheet C-1.0) calls out 179 feet of pipe from the water meter to within five feet of the building. Recalculate the equivalent pipe length and the permissible friction loss. Reference Section A3, UPC 1994. 5. Include all fixtures (7 hose bibbs @ 5 fixture units gives a total of 35 fixture units, not 30 fixture units) and the water requirements of the HVAC equipment when calculating the total demand and determining pipe sizes. Reference Section 610.1, UPC 1994. |

PLEASE CALL AT 791-5550 X1106 OR EMAIL AT Linda.Buczynski@tucsonaz.gov IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. 1. Demonstrate compliance with the Tucson Lighting Code, http://www.tucsonaz.gov/dsd/Codes___Ordinances/Tucson_Lighting_Code.pdf, effective April 12, 2005. 3. Provide Lighting Power Budget calculations per the 2000 IECC. 4. On Sheet EL 2.0, Keynote 4, it appears that there is a need for 8 switches, not 6. 5. Please remove the redundant GNDs between the CT Can and the Gutter, and between the Gutter and the service disconnects. Reference NEC 250.24 (B). 6. For the purpose of the fault calculations, it appears from the scaled drawings that the distance from the CT Can to the closest panel is about 16', not 50'. However, the distance between the TEP Transformer and the CT Can appears to be 125', not 40'. A quick check shows that the fault calcs come out a bit higher, but still appear OK for the 22K rating. |
