This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, highlighting any changes, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. General Requirements 1. All corrections and revisions shall be made on the original tracings and two new sets of prints or (1) sepia and (1) blue line shall be returned. 2. Pencil corrections on final prints will not be acceptable. To avoid delays ensure that corrections have been made, are complete and have been coordinated on all-applicable details and notes. Floor Plan 1. Provide tempered windows adjacent front door. 2. General notes states window U values as .4 while 'Rescheck' compliance is at U=.37. Clarify. Structural Plans 1. Provide cross bracing at gable end per R802.10.3 and BCSI 1-03. Plumbing and Electrical Plan 1. The City of Tucson has adopted the 1994 Uniform Plumbing Code with state amendments (ARIZONA STATE PLUMBING CODE). All plans must reference this code. 2. Revise fixture unit calculation per table 6-3, 1994 UPC. My count is 26 f.u. Is this new unit on its own water meter or is it shared with existing SFR? If this is a shared meter provide include fixtures of existing house in count. Provide developed length for water line (either case: new meter or shared). Supply line may have to be resized to accommodate extra fixture units. Reference table 6-4, 1994 UPC. 3. Note on plans that shower and tub / shower combinations that have individual control valves shall be of the pressure balance or thermostatic mixing valve type. 4. Note that all smoke detectors must be interconnected with a power source from the building wiring, and shall be equipped with battery backup. 5.
