1) Provide copies of approved variances.
2) Provide site plan that shows property lines.
3) Provide a dimensioned site plan.
4) Per 903.2.7 Group R an automatic sprinkler system installed in accordance with section 903.3 shall be provided throughout all buildings with a group R fire area.
5) Clarify location of overhang from property line. See section 704.11 Parapets.
6) Need to provide structural analysis for the whole bldg. This is a change of occupancy therefore it needs to be justified per the occupancy. See City of Tucson Amendments to Table 1607.1.
7) Provide structural key plan for location of framing members provided in calculations.
8) With added storage area it appears there is a mixed-use occupancy. Please clarify per section 302. Justify 1 hr. separation.
9) Clarify finishes in restrooms per section 1210.
10) Clarify roof fire classification per section 1505.
11) Clarify safety glazing at entry door section 2406.3.
12) Clarify dimensions for accessible parking per ANSI A117.1 2003, Chapt.5.
05/31/2005 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied 1. Revise the duct insulation to comply with the requirements of Section 503.3.3.3, IECC 2000.
2. Show the routing and termination of the condensate drains. Reference Section 307.2, IMC 2000 and Section 807.2, UPC 1994.
3. Provide structural calculations to verify that the existing roof is capable of supporting the additional dead load due to the installation of the roof top units. Reference Section 302.1, IMC 2000.
4. Provide service space for roof-mounted equipment. Reference Section 306.6 IMC.
5. Provide a detail showing the construction of the support for the roof-mounted units. . Reference Section 106.3.1, IMC 2000.
6. Clarify the nature of the mechanical system. The mechanical plan shows 3 three rooftop units with gas heat (but no gas service), but the plumbing (P1), electrical (E1 and E2), and the architectural (A1) plans seem to indicate three split systems with gas heat. . 05/31/2005 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied 1. The applicable code for this project is the 1994 Uniform Plumbing Code with Arizona State Amendments. Revise sheet P1 as required.
2. Clarify the layout of the building drains for Unit #1 and coordinate with the waste and vent riser diagram shown on sheet P2. Reference Section 103.2.3, UPC 1994.
3. Provide listing information and invert of the 2-way cleanout shown on sheet P1. Reference Sections 707.4 (4) and 707.6, UPC 1994.
4. Clarify the layout of the building sewer as shown on sheet SD-1: is it a new 6" sewer or the existing 4" sewer? Coordinate with sheet P1 and show the slope of the building sewer. Reference Section 103.2.3, UPC 1994.
5. Provide cleanouts in the building sewer at intervals not exceeding 100 feet. Reference Section 719.1, UPC 1994.
6. Provide the rim elevations of the next upstream AND the next downstream sanitary manholes. Determine the need for a backwater valve per Section 710.1, UPC 1994.
7. Revise the design of the indirect waste receptor for the clothes washer to comply with the requirements of Section 804.1, UPC 1994.
8. Provide information to show that none of the proposed fixtures requires a minimum pressure less than 15-PSI. Reference Section 608.1, UPC 1994.

1. Minimum font size is 1/8". Enlarge as necessary.
2. Electrical Note 1, add the requirement that construction shall be in accordance with the 2002 National Electrical Code.
3. Electrical Note 2 references the IRC, which does not apply to this installation. NEC applies.
4. Electrical Note 2 calls for 13 AWG wire. No such gauge.
5. Electrical Note 9 refers to an IRC section. Provide the corresponding NEC reference.
6. Apartment plans have refrigerator and garbage disposal on Ckt 10. Panel schedule only accounts for refrigerator on this circuit. Please clarify.
7. Provide a fully developed lighting fixture schedule for all fixtures, and cut sheets for all new fixtures.
8. The Stove, as a 2-pole load, can not be powered on a duplex receptacle.
9. Arc-fault circuit protection required in NEC 210.12 applies to all branch circuits powering bedroom 125V single-phase 15A and 20A outlets, not just receptacles.
10. Provide specifications for F-1, mechanical and electrical.
11. Provide disconnect switches as necessary for equipment F-1.
12. Please put the Washer on its own circuit. The 20A circuit appears to be overloaded with the washer and receptacle loading.
13. Panel D Ckt 8 powers Common Area. Not seen on plans.
14. Residential Ckt 14, with #14 wire and 20A CB, does not comply with NEC 240.4 (D).
15. Load calculation used for House panel is only permitted for dwelling units. Reference NEC 220 Parts I and II, and Part III 220.30 (A).
16. Mechanical specifies an 11A Rheem, Electrical calls it 37.5A. Coordinate with Mechanical and clarify.
17. Provide TEP available fault current.
18. Provide fault calculations to demonstrate that equipment is rated for AFC.
