IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS.

1. The schematic diagram on Pg 48 of the inverter manual shows the DC disconnect to be internal to the enclosure, even inboard of the DC terminal block. Therefore, an additional, external disconnect needs to be provided in order to comply with NEC 690.15.
2. Design current is (4.85) (1.25) (1.25) = 7.58 amps. Reference NEC 690.8 (A) (1) & 690.8 (B). Fuse the DC disconnect in Comment #1 above with 10A, DC rated fuses. Specify a DC voltage rating which exceeds the DC maximum voltage developed by this system.
3. Photovoltaic Equipment Specifications call for a 20 A DC fuse. No such fuse is on plans.
4. Manufacturer's requirements for AC overcurrent protection is stated on Page 50. Please change the 20A AC breaker to a 15 A CB.
5. On the Diagram on Page 2, please add the DC system Grounding Electrode Conductor, and clearly indicate its' connection to the Grounding Electrode System.
6. On the Diagram on Page 2, please include all of the panels in the dashed Equipment Grounding Conductor.
7. Note that the manufacturer instructs us to use a minimum of #10 for all grounding cables.
8. Please indicate the presence and location of any j-boxes and combiner boxes. Specify how the supplier-provided cabling would ultimately tie in to the DC disconnect.
9. On Page 3, where the inverter has been specified, please correct "Fronius IG 30" to read "Fronius IG 3000".
10. Provide for permanent marking to identify each photovoltaic system disconnecting means. Specify the exact wording and nature of such marking on the plans. Reference NEC 690.14 (C) (2).
11. For each disconnecting means which may be energized in the open position, specify a warning sign per NEC 690.17, and specify the exact wording on the plans.
12. Provide the size of the Main Overcurrent Protective Device to this residence, to enable the Plans Examiner to determine compliance with NEC 690.64 (B).
