7. If the specified water heater is not supplied with integral heat traps, provide heat traps (not bent flexible connectors) on the supply and discharge piping. Reference Section 804.4, IECC 2000.
8. Provide ½" insulation on the first eight feet of supply and discharge piping for the water heater. Reference Section 804.5, IECC 2000.
9. The specified lavatory faucets are designed for a flow rate of 2.2 GPM. According to ARS Title 45, Chapter 1, Article 12, the maximum flow rate for lavatory faucets shall be no more than an average of one-half gallon of water per minute at a pressure of eighty PSI or they shall be equipped with a mechanism that causes the faucet to close automatically after delivering no more than one-fourth gallon of water. Reference Section 402.1, UPC 1994, as amended by the State of Arizona.
10. Provide upper terminal cleanouts on horizontal drainage pipe over 5 feet in length (e.g. the branch with P-1A and P-4A). Reference Section 707.4, UPC 1994.
