SUMMARY: The revised Borrow Plan grading plan, Grading Plan response letter, a copy of the SWPPP documents, copy of the original Grading Plan, copy of the Tentative Plat, were received by Engineering on January 9, 2006. Landscape documents and other supplemental material were submitted to Engineering in December, 2005. DSD Engineering has reviewed the received items and recommends approval of the Grading Plan. The following conditions apply to the grading permit:

CONDITIONS OF GRADING PERMIT:
1) There shall be no excavation or grading on or near the landfill area; there shall be no disturbance outside of these approved grading limits. Stormwater shall be prevented from crossing Clearwater Drive and entering and possibly causing ponding/infiltration within the landfill boundary.
2) Any grading outside of the grading limits require separate grading permit or a submittal, review, and approval for a separate permit.
3) Submit another copy of the soils report prior to picking up grading permit.
4) The south drainage improvements are not apart of this grading permit.
5) DS Sec.11-01.12.5: The soils engineer shall provide professional inspection, including observation during grading excavation, and testing for required compaction. The soils engineer shall provide sufficient observation during the preparation of the natural ground and placement and compaction of the fill to verify that such work is being performed in accordance with the conditions of the approved plan and the appropriate requirements of the grading development standards. Any revised recommendations relating to conditions differing from the approved soils engineering and engineering geology reports shall be submitted to the DSD and the project's civil engineer. Submit copies of Geotechnical / Soils Reports to DSD for soil conditions and observations during excavation.
6) A copy of this borrow plan with grading permit, and geotechnical reports shall be kept at the site at all times, until final grading approval.
7) Call to see if a SWPPP inspection and Grading Pre-construction meeting will be required. For a DSD Engineering Inspections, call IVR (740-6970), or schedule with a Customer Service Representative at the Development Services Department, or contact DSD Engineering at 791-5550 extension 2101.
