Corrections required are noted below. All corrections must be made to the original drawings and new complete and revised sets resubmitted along with a written response to each of the items listed below to facilitate a shorter back-check time. The scope of this review covers Structural review. These disciplines were checked only to the extent allowed by the documents provided. All portions of this project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. STRUCTURAL COMMENTS General Provide copy of approved ICC report number for the 30 Ga Powers “SB” metal deck used at roof diaphragm. Address design of roof diaphragm in structural calculations and justify lateral shear does not exceed allowable. Coordinate with structural calculations and resolve discrepancy in specifying lateral resisting system. Plans indicate Cantilever columns, where calculation pg.25 calls for shear walls shown on plans. Recheck uplift applicable at interior columns supporting high and low roof framing on pg.27 where tributary area shall be doubled and address resistance considering 06.D+W load combination as governing in this case.
