FLOODPLAIN USE PERMIT IS DENIED

RESUBMITTAL REQUIRED: SITE PLAN, HYDROLOGY REPORT, FLOODPLAIN USE PERMIT APPLICATION


1. Clearly delineate the floodplain limits on the site plan. It must be determined if the proposed garage is within the FEMA flood hazard Zone AE. This must be determined by an Arizona Registered Professional Civil Engineer. SMDDFM 2.3.1.1.F., 2.3.1.4.C.1.

2. A hydrology report is required for development impacted by flows from significant watercourses and/or affected by 100-year flows or more. The objective of a hydrology report is to establish a finish floor elevation and to ensure the water surface elevation is not raised more then a tenth of a foot by the development. Submit a hydrology report that meets the requirements of Chapter 26 and SMDDFM 2.3.1.

3. Label the Finish Floor Elevation (FFE) on the site plan that will be given in the hydrology report.

4. Include a note on the site plan that the garage is in a FEMA Special Flood Hazard Zone AE. DS 2-02.2.1.A.15.

5. Specify on the site/plot plan the datum and the water surface elevation (WSE) found in the hydrology report. Please note the datum used for the WSE and the Finish Floor Elevation (FFE) must match what is specified in the drainage report.

6. Please note a condition of this permit contains a requirement that the applicant, or the applicant's authorized representative, complete a FEMA Elevation Certificate and is returned to DSD Engineering prior to approval of special inspection.
