All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittal provided. All portions of the project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL: q There are no general comments to be addressed. ELECTRICAL: q Do the "existing" loads on the panel schedules on Sheet E4 already include a demand factor for receptacles [1999 NEC Table 220-13]? All of the receptacle load calculations shown in the panel schedules assume that none of the existing loads are receptacle loads. Please clarify. q Please review the calculation for Panel "MDP" on Sheet E4. For example, the calculation for Distribution Panel "MDP" shows 150,000 VA existing while the individual volt-amps "existing" for Panels DP1, DP2, DP3, DP4 DP5, and SP tally 180,000 VA. Also, the receptacle loads do not appear to correspond between the calculation for Distribution Panel "MDP" and Panels DP1, DP2, DP3, DP4 DP5, and SP. Please clarify. q Please check the 225-amp breaker in the Main Panel Board "MSA" which serves the 500 KVA step-down transformer and the Distribution Panel "MDP" (based on the previous comment regarding the load calculations). -End of Review- |
