10/06/2005 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied 1. Include all fixtures (e.g. the electric water cooler, and the sink and hose bibb at the ramada) when calculating the total water demand and determining pipe sizes. Use "public" values for fixture units (e.g. the two kitchen sinks and the dishwasher). Reference Section 610.1, UPC 1994.
2. If a reduced pressure backflow preventer is used for the icemaker, provide a drain for the assembly.
10/06/2005 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied 1. Third request. The minimum circuit ampacity and the maximum circuit protection for the A/C units do not meet the manufacturer's requirements. Coordinate the electrical requirements for the HVAC units with the electrical design.
2. The electrical design does not address providing power for either the makeup air unit or the exhaust fan for the Type I hood.
3. Provide details and calculations showing the support of the hood and grease duct from the building structure (the hanging angle detail, shown on sheet A4.2, is incomplete). Reference Section 506.3.4 and 507.6, IMC 2000.
4. Provide a cut sheet for the proposed hood that shows the name of the manufacturer of the hood and that the hood is tested per UL 710, listed, and labeled for operation with an airflow of 2100 CFM or comply with the minimum airflow requirements of Section 507.13.3, IMC 2000. Reference Section 507.1, IMC 2000.
5. Revise the grease duct enclosure to comply with the requirements of Section 506.3.11, IMC 2000.
6. Revise the discharge height of EF-2 as shown in detail 5/M1 to show a minimum height of 40" from the roof surface to the exhaust outlet, not the top of the fan motor cover.
