This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, highlighting any changes, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. General Requirements 1. All corrections and revisions shall be made on the original tracings and two new sets of prints or (1) sepia & (1) blue line shall be returned along with all redline prints. 2. Pen or pencil corrections on final prints will not be acceptable. To avoid delays ensure all corrections have been made, are complete and have been coordinated on all-applicable details and notes. 3. All plans shall comply with the 2003 IRC. Revise all notes. Floor Plan 1. Provide tempered glass for window G per R308. Structural Plan 1. Structural Calculations, page 4 - Wall section 1/A4.2, calculations call for a roof diaphragm connection using 5/8" AB's @ 24" o/c. Clarify location and show on plan. Also, footing size on plan does not match the calculations. 2. Special Inspection will be required for epoxy bolts. 3. Detail connection of 3" steel post to foundation. Plumbing and Electrical Plans 1. The City of Tucson has adopted the 1994 Uniform Plumbing Code with state amendments (ARIZONA STATE PLUMBING CODE). All plans must reference this code. 2. Note on plans that shower and tub / shower combinations that have individual control valves shall be of the pressure balance or thermostatic mixing valve type. 3. Lights installed over shower or bathtub must be approved for use in wet area. (see E3903.8) 4. Note that two or more 2O AMP small appliance circuits shall be provided to serve all receptacles outlets in the kitchen, breakfast room and dining room. Such circuits shall have no other outlets, per E3603.2 and E3801.3 through E3801.4.5. Circuit 13 is in the kitchen and the garage, foyer and courtyard. Designate which panel each circuit is tied to. 5. Locate Jacuzzi GFI. 6. Where ceiling fans are shown on the plans, provide a note indicating only approved outlet boxes shall be used, per E4001.6. 7. Note that light fixtures in clothes closets shall be installed in accordance with E3903.11. 8. Provide smoke detector in immediate vicinity of bedroom. Hallway? 9.
