This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, highlighting any changes, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. General Requirements 1. All corrections and revisions shall be made on the original tracings and two new sets of prints or (1) sepia and (1) blue line shall be returned. 2. Pen or pencil corrections on final prints will not be acceptable. To avoid delays ensure that corrections have been made, are complete and have been coordinated on all-applicable details and notes. 3. The current city of Tucson Code is the 2003 IRC. Revise plans so that all notes should reference this code. Floor Plan 1. Note and specify that shower enclosures shall have a minimum finished interior area of 1,024 square inches and shall be capable of encompassing a minimum 30" circle per 1994 UPC SEC. 410.0. All glass enclosures shall be tempered. 2. Show that each water closet is located in a clear space not less than 30" wide and has a clear space in front not less than 21" per figure R307.2. 3. Provide size of window from existing bedroom to confirm egress. Structural Plan 1. Engineering is required for Rastra walls over 10' high. 2. Provide lintel detail. Include stirrups (size and spacing per table 2, ER-4203) 3. Provide continuous #5 rebar at top of wall. Plumbing and Electrical Plan 1. Provide fixture unit summary for entire house and total developed length. Specify supply line to house from meter. 2. Size all waste line to new fixtures and provide vents. 3. Demo plan call for a 'temporary permanent' 150 amp panel. Clarify need rather than an immediate upgrade to 200-amp panel. 4. Where ceiling fans are shown on the plans, provide a note indicating only approved outlet boxes shall be used, per E4001.6.
