Regarding the fault calculations, there was no change submitted on the electrical site plan for a new transformer location cited in the Memo from BDA dated 8/5/05. Distance scales out to be about 57'. Assuming 55600A available at the service entrance, and accepting the 25' distance to panels A and B, Electrical Plans Examiner calculates 29,244A available at Panel A and 35,025A available at Panel B, both of which exceed the 22K ratings. Since the 55600A is the value at the TEP transformer it may help to use this distance to reduce the AFC at the service entrance. Panel A appears to be 29' from the service entrance, not 25'. Panel B appears to be 32' from the service entrance, not 25'. |
