Include all fixtures and the potable water requirements of the process equipment when calculating the total demand and determining pipe sizes. Reference Sections 610.1 and 610.5, UPC 1994. Note: Limit the water velocity to less than 8 fps for the CPVC piping and size the pipe per IAPMO IS 20-93. Reference Section A 6.1, UPC 1994; IAPMO IS 20-93, Section 610.0; and IAPMO IS 8-92, Section 610.1. NOTE: READ SECTIONS A1 THROUGH A5 (APPENDIX A, 1994 UPC), WHICH DESCRIBE HOW TO SIZE PLUMBING PIPING. THE MINIMUM RESIDUAL PRESSURE FOR A SAFETY EYEWASH/SHOWER IS 30 PSIG.
