09/17/2004 | Linda Buczynski | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | TRANSMIT ORIGINAL DRAWINGS WITH NEXT SUBMITTAL. PLEASE CALL AT 791-5550 X1106 OR EMAIL AT Linda.Buczynski@tucsonaz.gov IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. 1. Please provide panel (feeder) load calculations and service load tabulation per NEC Article 220. 2. Since fault current at MCC is 24,290A, please demonstrate that available fault at equipment terminals for the Outdoor Air Handling Unit and the SVE Air Blower (B-420) is within their respective ratings, or justify otherwise. 3. On Sheet E-02, the Coyote Controller appears in writing, but has no connection to the MCC bus, no conductor, and no overcurrent protection. Please clarify. 4. On E-6 Sheet 1, show Water Heater disconnect. NEC 422 Part III. 5. From the fixture cut sheets, it does not appear that fixtures A, B and D meet the requirements of the Outdoor Lighting Code. Please provide full cutoff fixtures, or drop wattage to 50W. 6. It is not clear from the cut sheet that Fixtures A, B and D are suitable for a wet location. Please clarify. 7. Sheet E-2. It appears that the overcurrent protection for the 15 KVA X'FMR does not comply with NEC Table 450.3 (B). Changing the primary breaker from 30A to 25A, or changing the secondary protection from 60A to 50A will insure compliance. Comments below apply to the skid. 1. Please provide panel (feeder) load calculations. 2. Please show location of Skid on site plan. 3. Show location of power source for Skid. 4. Show load tabulation for Skid per NEC Article 220, and size of feeder, and feeder overcurrent protective device. The direction given in the Specifications 16010-1 1.2 B 2 and 16020-1 1.2 D is rather vague. 5. It does not appear that fixture B meets the requirements of the Outdoor Lighting Code. Please provide full cutoff fixture, or drop wattage to 50W. 6. It is not clear from the cut sheet that Fixture B is suitable for a wet location. Please clarify. 7. It appears that the Skid would open to the elements, which would render the AC unit questionable. 8. On Panel LP-RRS it appears that the Control Panel and the AC Unit should be in separate 1-pole circuits. Please clarify. 9. Show location of Panel LP-RRS, 5000VA X'FMR, receptacles, and AC unit. 10. It appears that the 5000 VA X'FMR should be treated as a separately derived system per NEC 250-30. That being the case, a connection to the grounding electrode system needs to be established, and such Grounding Electrode Conductor and GND in the secondary conduit shall be #8. |
