This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, highlighting any changes, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. General Requirements 1. All corrections and revisions shall be made on the original tracings and two new sets of prints or (1) sepia and (1) blue line shall be returned. 2. Pen or pencil corrections on final prints will not be acceptable. To avoid delays ensure that corrections have been made, are complete and have been coordinated on all-applicable details and notes. Site Plan 1. Indicate the location of water meter and water line on the property. 2. Provide square footages of all structures. Floor Plan 1. Glass at window adjacent front door must be tempered. 2. Show landings at exterior doors per R312. 3. Bedroom adjacent kitchen: Windows do not meet egress requirements. 2-8x4-0 window only allows approximately 22" of height for clear dimensions. 24" in minimum per R310. 4. Note that bathtub and shower enclosures shall be finished per P2710 with ceramic tile, or a listed enclosure, to a height of 72" above the drain per R702.4 and R304.2. 5. Note and specify that shower enclosures shall have a minimum finished interior of 1024 square inches and shall be capable of encompassing a minimum 30" circle per UPC sec 410. Plumbing Plans 1. Provide a two-way cleanout in sewer line outside of structure. 2. Provide a cleanout for kitchen sink. 3. Note the developed length of water line, size of all water lines, meter size and note whether or not the structure is on its own meter. If not, then provide total fixture units of existing residence along with new fixture units. 4. The city of Tucson has not yet adopted the plumbing section of the IRC 2000. The current code being used is the 1994 UPC with state amendments. All plans must reference this code. Electrical Plans 1. Kitchen must have two dedicated circuits split at the counter. One counter outlet is missing. Reference E3801.4.1. 2. Provide a switch at exterior bedroom door for bedroom light. 3. Provide load calcs. 4. Provide smoke detectors in bedrooms and living room per R317. 5. Outside GFI is required at the front and back of the dwelling per E3802.3.
