GENERAL COMMENTS:

This project has been reviewed for conformance with the 2000 IBC, 1997 UAC, 2000 IMC, 1998 IECC, 1999 NEC codes with local modifications, and the 1994 UPC with State of Arizona Amendments. Any revisions to this plan will require an additional review and approval by Willdan.


ARCHITECTURAL COMMENTS:

Sheet A2

It appears the section detail references for the exploited view of the restrooms is mislabeled. The correct detail reference should be 2/A2.2. Please review and revise. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.

For the intersection of the new interior partition walls that abut the storefront glazing, reference is made to Detail 2A/A2.0 and 2B/A2.0. This appears to be an incorrect detail. The correct references appear to be Detail 3A and 3B/A2. This information needs to be coordinated with the details and references on Sheet A3, Note 5. Please review and revise. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.

Sheet A3

Please clarify whether the doors that are shown from the classrooms to the exterior will remain. With the exception of the doors at the restrooms, they are shown to remain on the main floor plan, Sheet A2. On Sheet A3, the same doors are identified as being blocked off. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.

Please coordinate the details for the interior partitions abutting the storefront glazing with the details on Sheet A2. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.


STRUCTURAL COMMENTS:

The structural portion has been reviewed and accepted.


PLUMBING COMMENTS:

Sheets P1 and P2

Please note and detail on the drawings that the accessible urinal is required to have an elongated bowl. Reference ADAAG Section 4.18.

Note on the drawings that the condensate drains, the overflow pan for the water heater, and the T&P valve from the water heater are to terminate in the mop sink instead of the floor drain. The floor drain will not likely have the capacity to accommodate the anticipated, or unexpected, discharge. Reference UPC Section 608.5 and IMC Section 307.2.1.

Sheet P3

It appears the fixture designations for the urinals, P3 and P4, have been reversed. Please review and revise accordingly. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1.


MECHANICAL COMMENTS:

ELECTRICAL COMMENTS:

Please provide exterior exit illumination at the exterior side of all exits. Reference IBC Section 1003.2.11.2.

Please provide the lighting load calculations for the entire building to demonstrate compliance with the provisions of IECC. Reference IECC Section 705.

Please note and detail on the plans that the dispensers in the water closet compartments are required to be a minimum of 7” - 9” in front of the water closets. Reference ADAAG Section 4.16.6.
