03/09/2004 | LINDA BUCZYNSKI | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | TRANSMIT ORIGINAL DRAWINGS WITH NEXT SUBMITTAL. PLEASE CALL AT 791-5550 X1106 OR EMAIL AT LBUCZYN1@CI.TUCSON.AZ.US IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. Sheet E0.2 1. Secondaries on transformers 3N-T2, 3E-T3, and 3E-T2 shall be sized per NEC Table 250-66, according to Footnote 1 on that table. Thus, the #10 GND for 3N-T2 and 3E-T3 need to be changed to #8, and the #6 GND for 3E-T2 needs to be changed to #2. 2. It appears that panels such as 3N-DP-A and 3E-CR-G are covered by NEC 517-14, Panelboard Bonding. Provide such bonding as required for all such panels, or justify otherwise. Willing to discuss. 3. Keynote #1 apparently needs to read "200A/3P" instead of "100A/3P", as it feeds a panel with 112A, and the phase conductor and ground are sized for 200A. Sheet E0.3 1. Please note that on Panel 4E-CR-3, Sub-Panel 3E-CR-A is not fed via a transformer. Sheet E2.0 1. Per NEC 620-23, a separate branch circuit shall supply the machine room lighting and receptacle. Per NEC 620-24, a separate branch circuit shall supply the hoistway pit lighting and receptacle. Please separate the loads on Circuit 1N-DP-37-21 into a single circuit serving the machine room loads, and the other serving the pit. Sheet E2.1 1. Please include the following note: "All work in patient care areas shall comply with the requirements of NEC 517-13. Sheet E4.0 1. Apparently the title needs to be changed from "Lighting Plan" to "Fire Alarm". |

03/12/2004 | Raul Palma | BUILDING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | City of Tucson, Development Services BUILDING AND STRUCTURAL COMMENTS 1) Show all exit signs on architectural floor plans. 2) Sheet A2.2 of plans detail (1) shows 2x blocking. Specify fire retardant pressure treated. 3) Section © of detail A2.3 at junction of new structure and existing, how is this area sealed from smoke penetration? Clarify! 4) Details 1 and 2 of A3.1 shows bubbling around the beams and trusses, is this fire retardant spray? 5) Roof framing plan- the designations on the framing members and those shown on the calc`s are different, ie., plans show 28k 273/130 and calc`s show 30k7. Clarify! 6) Calc`s show a beam W14x99 where is this beam shown on plans? 7) Provide engineering calc`s for the beam W24x55 shown on third floor framing plan. Sheet (S3) 8) Clarify the frame and member designations. Calc`s show 0 Frame and 1 Fame different column members show the same numbers(designation), the situation occurs with beams at different frame sections. Also, these members with the same designation have different shear values. Ex. Sheet 215 of calc`s column #4 V=5.82k and on sheet 233 another column designated as column #4 the V=16.70k. It is confusing as to which column or beam is being referred to. Clarify! 9) Is there any medical gases? If so show there location. Also special inspection is required. |
