02/18/2004 | STANTEC | 3RD PARTY REVIEW-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this review covers Architectural, Structural, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittal provided. All portions of the project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL: q There are no general comments to be addressed. ARCHITECTURAL: q Please clarify on the plans that the width clearance between the lavatory and the sidewall next to the toilet is a minimum of 60 inches. The lavatory cannot be placed within the toilet clearance space [1998 ICC/ANSI A117.1 - 1998 Sec. 604.3]. The restroom plan on Sheet A2.1 indicates that the restroom is 7'-2" wide which may or may not work depending on the width of the lavatory (the lavatory would have to be no wider than 22 inches). STRUCTURAL: q There are no structural comments to be addressed. MECHANICAL: q The required amount of exhaust air from a toilet room is 75 c.f.m. per toilet (and urinal) [2000 IMC Sec. Table 403.3]. Each of these restrooms requires an exhaust fan exhausting a minimum of 75 c.f.m. The exhaust fan specified on Sheet M1.0 only exhausts 32 c.f.m. q Revise the outside air calculation provided on Sheet M1.0 to reflect the 2000 International Mechanical Code, Chapter 4, Table 403.3. PLUMBING: q There are no plumbing comments to be addressed. ELECTRICAL: q Please provide a fault current calculation justifying the fault current information supplied in the single-line diagram on Sheet E3.1 -End of Review- |
