Note: Rafters can not span more than 24", ledger size to be the same as the depth of the cut of the rafter, roof sheathing/planking to be installed as per sections 2308.10.8 & 9 IBC. Please change detail to 24" o.c. as well. Provide shear value of 1x strips indicated on plan. If rafter is not to be fully supported by the ledger, provide sizing of member for actual rafter dimension supported. i.e.: next size per tables is a 2 x 4. 2. Show how counter flashing at wall/ roof connection is to be achieved. Caulking without counter flashing is not an acceptable method. Revise plans. 3. Provide distance to property line for determination of fire resistance rating of exterior walls. Reference Table 602 IBC. If columns are less than 10 feet from the property line, provide detail and listing for one-hour construction. Unaware of an approved listing for fire retardant treated wood. Provide listing and detail in order to comply with requirements of Table 602 IBC, also see definition of a building, section 502.1 IBC. |
