| 02/09/2004 | RANDY SCHULER | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Approved | CITY OF TUCSON DEVELOPMENT SERVICES ELECTRICAL REVIEW COMMENTS DATE: January 20, 2004 ACTIVITY NUMBER: T04CM00224 PROJECT NAME: Diamonds Back / Jacobs Park Ball Field Lighting PROJECT ADDRESS: 1010 W. Lind St. PROJECT REVIEWER: Randy Schuler, P.E. PHONE: (520) 791-5550 X1104 E200 1) It appears there needs to be 20 feet of #10 wire from the breakers to the line side of the lighting contactors in order to reduce the fault current to a value less than 10, 000 amps. Please specify the contactor withstand ratings. 2) Remove the equipment ground from the service lateral serving the electrical service. In addition, the 1" conduit for the (4) 500 kcmil is too small. 3) 1999 450-3b mandates the primary overcurrent protection for the 6 kva transformer cannot exceed 15 amps. In addition, the secondary overcurrent protection (the panel main breaker) cannot exceed 25 amps. E300 1) Pole B detail is actually a 7 fixture array. Please do not adjust the loads in the panel as they approximate a 7 fixture array after power factor and +25% for continuous duty is factored in. 2) Provide minimum length of the feeders serving the existing rest room and basketball courts to insure that the fault current at the load end of the feeders is less than the withstand rating of the equipment they serve. 3) It appear the scoreboard/lighting control design is incorrect. |
