All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittal provided. All portions of the project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL: q There are no general comments to be addressed. ARCHITECTURAL: q The code analysis on Sheet A0.1 indicates that the building is of Type III-B Construction. Therefore the exterior bearing walls are required to be of 2-hour construction [2000 IBC Table 601] contrary to how they have been listed on Sheet A0.1. Please note on Sheet A0.1 that exterior bearing walls are of 2-hour fire resistive construction and exterior non-bearing walls are of 1-hour construction unless they are greater than or equal to 30'-0" away from the property line [2000 IBC Table 602]. The non-bearing wall infill within the exterior bearing walls (Detail P5 on Sheet A3.0) does not need to be rated. STRUCTURAL: q Please provide City of Tucson Special Inspection Certificates for the following items: · Concrete and Reinforcing Steel · Structural Steel · Field Welding · Epoxy Anchors q Page 4 of the structural calculations has a calculation on the bottom of the page regarding a 6x4x1/4 tube steel section for a wind brace at the mechanical louvers. Where specifically is this member? I could not find it indicated in any of the details. Please clarify. MECHANICAL: q Please provide a calculation to demonstrate that the required amount of outside air is being provided [2000 IMC Table 403.3]. PLUMBING: q There are no plumbing comments to be addressed. ELECTRICAL: q Please indicate the illuminated exit signs and means of egress illumination within the large warehouse space (either new or existing). q Is the "electrical work by others" noted on the lighting plan on Sheet E1.1 to be a part of this permit or is it to be under a separate permit?
