King Ave - Grading Permit review REVIEWER: Doug Williams DATE: 10 January 2005 ACTIVITY NUMBERS: T04BU02976 SUMMARY: Engineering Division has reviewed the subject plan, and approval is not recommended at this time. The plan sheet submitted is not identified as a grading plan, and does not provide detailed grading information. Please submit a building permit application for review/approval, or provide a copy of an approved plot/site plan with a corresponding Development Services Department (DSD) activity number for reference with a resubmittal with two (2) sets of revised plans addressing the following comments: 1. Identify the plan as a "grading plan". 2. Depict and label proposed limits of grading. 3. Provide General Grading Notes. 4. Specify all grading to be in conformance with Development Standard (DS) 11-01.0 (Excavation and Grading) - particular attention should be given to Sections 11-01.7 through 11-01.9.3. 5. Identify/label all existing contours/elevations and depict and label proposed finished grades. 6. Provide proposed site, finished floor, and pad grade elevations. 7. Provide a basis of elevation with reference to City Field Book and Page numbers. 8. Provide a current Bluestake #. 9. The "REQ. 20 FT W. FRONT SETBACK" is not clear - please depict an appropriate setback line with dimensioning. 10. Include notation that all proposed walls flow through openings (16" L X 8" HT OPN'G @ 8'-0" O.C.) are to be constructed at existing grade. 11. Revise the last paragraph under "Site Work" for readability/legibility. 12. Provide a copy of the soils and/or geotechnical engineering/exploration reports and recommendations, with a revised grading plan.
