We offer the following comments: 1. Submit a revised hydrology report that addresses the proposed changes in the channel cross section and its capacity. 2. The runoff velocity is very erosive. The proposed channel materials do not provide adequate protection from erosion and scour. Address this issue in the revised hydrology report and provide recommendations to prevent possible erosion and scour. 3. The proposed channel materials do not prevent the runoff in the channel from infiltrating into the landfill, which may cause ground water contamination and the production of additional amounts of methane gas. Either propose the installation of an acceptable impermeable material underneath the proposed channel or provide a written letter from Environmental Services that offer assurances that the possibility of the aforementioned concerns is insignificant. 4. Delineate the limits of the property used for refuse disposal 5. Submit a revised SWPPP. |
