PLEASE CALL AT 791-5550 X1106 OR EMAIL AT LBUCZYN1@CI.TUCSON.AZ.US IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. 1. Both motors shall have a disconnect per Article 430. Items on Keynotes 8 & 9 do not include motor disconnects per the One-Line Diagram and reference notes. There is no Legend or Key to Symbols to clarify. 2. There are two feeders to the Office. This is prohibited under NEC 225-30. 3. From the gutter to Panel A, the G conductor shall be sized per Table 250-66, and shall be #2, not #6. 4. From the gutter to the 2-P Disconnect, the G conductor shall be sized per Table 250-66, and shall be #6, not #8. 5. According to NEC Table 4, 2 ½" RS allows 1.946 SI. Using values from Table 5 for THHN, (0.7073) (3) + (0.1855) = 2.3, which is greater than 1.946. Please correct for conduit fill requirements. 6. The 10 HP motor, at 28A, would be (28) (1.73) (240) = 11,640 VA. At single phase, it would draw 11,640/240 = 48A. Doubtful that a converter rated 40A on the line side is sufficient. Will check compliance with NEC 455-6 (a) and 455-7 (b) after this has been clarified. |
