Indicate keynote 17, denoting 2-hour fire resistive construction, applies at the west and south walls. Ref. IBC 602. 2. Note the occupant load for the shop. Ref. IBC 1003.2.2.2. 3. Note the percentage of exterior wall openings in the fire resistive north and south walls. Ref. IBC 704.8. Specify opening protective provisions at the fire resistive walls. Ref. IBC 714.2. Sheet 3 1. Specify the size of steel reinforcement in details shown as 2/3 and 3/3. 2. Revise the foundation plan scale to indicate ¼" = 1'-0". This error also occurs on Sheets 4, 5, 7 and 8. Sheet 4 1. Provide a revised toilet room layout to allow the minimum fixture clearance requirements. Ref. ANSI A117.1 604.2. 2. The continuation of the plumbing wall adjacent to the toilet room suggests that additional fixtures are planned. Please clarify by indicating stubouts as applicable. 3. Specify the method of attachment to the foundation and the structure above for interior non-bearing wall. Ref. IBC 1607.13. This was not shown on Sheet 6 details. 4. Provide finish material specifications for the toilet room. Ref. IBC 1209. 5. A service sink and drinking fountain are required. Please clarify. Ref. IBC 2902.1. 6. Indicate ceiling heights on the floor plan. 7. Provide information regarding quantities of hazardous materials in use and in storage. Ref. IBC Table 307.7. Sheet 5 1. Keynote 1 notes show 3" x 8" ledger and nailers. Sheet 6 calls out 3" x 12" ledgers and nailers. Please resolve discrepancies. 2. Specify fixed mechanical equipment weight and provisions for roof framing reinforcement. Ref. IBC 1606.2. Sheet 6 1. Keynote 6 of the elevation and section keynotes is an interior wall. The plan shows keynote 6 at the exterior walls please revise. 2. Specify the on center dimension for horizontal reinforcement. Ref. IBC 2106.4.1.3. STRUCTURAL COMMENTS General 1. Design loads of 1.5psf for gypsum board and 60psf for solid grouted 8" cmu appear to be underestimated. Please revise. Sheet 5 1. Diaphragm shear is indicated in the design calculations as being resisted by nailing. Revise the nailing notes for the roof diaphragm to conform to the structural design. 2. Roof material is shown as both 5/8" OSB and ½" OSB. Please resolve discrepancy. 3. Joist design dead load is calculated at 10psf. Design criteria specifies 15psf. Revise according to recalculated dead load. PLUMBING COMMENTS Sheet 1 1. Dimension a minimum horizontal distance between the HCS and water supply lines. Ref. UPC 609. Sheet 2 1. Show cross connection control for irrigation. Ref. UPC 603. Sheet 7 1. Show the water supply with cross connection control and drain for the evaporative cooler. Ref. UPC 603. 2. Show the required cleanout. Ref. UPC 707.4. 3. Revise the waste fixture unit value for the lavatory. Ref. UPC Table 7-3. 4. Please note ¼" per foot slope for the HCS. 5. Delete gas notes. No gas lines are proposed for this project. 6. Coordinate water heater mounting height with plumbing drawing. Equipment greater than 8'-0" above the finished floor requires permanent means of access. Ref. UPC 511. MECHANICAL COMMENTS Sheet 7 1. Provide the equipment specification for the evaporative cooler. Include the equipment weight for coordination of roof framing reinforcement. ELECTRICAL COMMENTS Sheet 5 1. Coordinate with plumbing comment 6. 2. The evaporative cooler circuit is incorrectly identified on the plan. Please revise. 3. The site utility plan shows an overhead electric drop to the service. Revise the one line diagram to reflect the construction requirements. ENERGY COMMENTS General 1.
